From the second semester onward, the curriculum integrates professional clinical practice, preparing students to provide care for patients across a wide range of medical conditions. Through WBU’s strong institutional partnerships and Erasmus+ programs, students gain the opportunity to study abroad at prestigious universities, including the University of Salerno, University of Chieti “G. D’Annunzio,” Saint Camillus International Medical University in Italy, the University of Rzeszów, and others across Europe.

  • Advanced Laboratory Experience - Engage in hands-on training within modern laboratories dedicated to
biochemistry, histology, physiology, anatomy, and nursing. Students also benefit from access to cutting-edge technology tailored to clinical nursing practice.

  • Clinical Practice & Paid Internships - Apply your skills in real-world settings through internships and 
clinical rotations at Albania’s top hospitals and medical centers, including the American Hospital, Hygeia, Villa Maria Group, ISHP and QSUT. Students may also benefit from paid internships beginning in their first year -25 students have already taken advantage of these opportunities in the past three years.
 
  • Study in Albanian or English - Choose between instruction in Albanian or English, depending on your
language preference and career goals. All coursework and literature are aligned with the language of instruction, ensuring fluency in academic settings. While the clinical practice is conducted only in Albanian.
 
  • Research & Innovation Opportunities - Take part in scientific research early in your academic journey by 
contributing to projects, conferences, and workshops in clinical nursing and mental health—guided by experienced researchers and expert faculty.

What will you study?
YEAR I - Build the Scientific and Practical Foundations of Nursing
In the first year, you will:
·         learn through a blended curriculum where theoretical knowledge, laboratory experience, and clinical practice are combined,
·         gain a strong scientific foundation in the structure and function of the human body, and
·         learn about key nursing competencies and communication skills from the very beginning.
Since the very beginning, you’re not just studying nursing—you’re experiencing it.

YEAR II - From Classroom Knowledge to Real-World Patient Care
In this year, you will:
·         take your training to the next level with deeper clinical knowledge and expanded practical experience across diverse medical specialties,
·         transition from foundational theory to applying nursing skills in real clinical settings, 
·         explore complex health conditions, 
·         master patient care techniques across specialties, and 
·         build confidence through supervised hands-on practice in hospitals and clinics.

YEAR III – Become a Confident, Career-Ready Nursing Professional
By your third year, you're no longer just a student—you’re a future healthcare professional. This year equips you with 
·         advanced clinical knowledge, 
·         leadership skills, and 
·         a deep understanding of patient care across all age groups and conditions. 
By the end of Year III, you'll be fully prepared to take on real-world healthcare challenges—with confidence, compassion, and competence.
