The Bachelor Program in Laboratory Technician, offered by the Faculty of Medical Technical Sciences, prepares students to become key contributors to patient care through precise medical diagnostics and laboratory science. Laboratory technicians play a fundamental role in healthcare—providing the critical data that supports diagnosis, treatment, disease prevention, and ongoing patient monitoring.

Throughout this 3-year program, students engage in hands-on training in state-of-the-art laboratories at Western Balkan University (WBU), working alongside clinical scientists and researchers. They gain practical experience in diverse fields such as clinical chemistry, hematology, microbiology, parasitology, virology, immunology, histology, transfusion medicine, and emerging disciplines like nuclear and experimental medicine.
The program also fosters essential skills in scientific communication, critical thinking, and research methodology—equipping students to navigate complex clinical environments and contribute meaningfully to interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
