
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Anisa Subashi, Director of ASCAL (Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education), paid a working visit to Western Balkans University, where she was welcomed by the University’s Rector, Prof. Dr. Ferdinand Gjana.
During this productive meeting, key issues were discussed regarding the improvement of academic processes, the enhancement of quality and transparency, as well as the development of higher education and scientific research in Albania.
Prof. Subashi highlighted several important developments at the national level concerning the improvement of accreditation procedures, as well as the ongoing efforts toward ASCAL’s membership in ENQA, with the aim of strengthening the European recognition of Albanian diplomas.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Anisa Subashi is an expert with over 20 years of professional experience in the fields of social services, public policies, and higher education.
Following the meeting with the university leadership, Prof. Subashi visited the academic facilities, laboratories, and infrastructure of WBU, and became closely acquainted with the university’s quality assurance team.
This meeting represents a valuable opportunity to strengthen dialogue and interinstitutional cooperation, contributing gradually to the improvement of academic standards and the alignment of Albanian higher education with the European Higher Education Area, while reflecting Western Balkans University’s commitment to quality and sustainable development.
