The Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences and Imaging at Western Balkans University successfully concluded Day 1 of a specialized student workshop designed to bridge the gap between scientific expertise and professional leadership.
The message was clear: We are not just building scientists; we are building powerful communicators. The energy in the room was electric as students engaged in practical modules focused on the soft skills that rule the professional world.
Day 1 Highlights:
- 🗣️ Verbal & Non-Verbal Mastery: Led by Prof. Assoc. Dr. Erlis Çela, this session unlocked the secrets of respectful dialogue and active listening. Students learned the unspoken power of body language—mastering everything from maintaining eye contact to projecting confidence through posture.
- 📧 The Art of the Perfect Email: Dr. Inva Koçiaj coached students on essential written communication skills. The session dissected the anatomy of a high-impact academic and professional email, covering everything from the importance of a clear subject line to the appropriate professional sign-off.
Learning by Doing: The day ended with a dynamic group activity where students drafted and peer-reviewed emails, applying their new skills in real-time. This hands-on approach ensures that WBU students are ready for the professional environment from day one.
Stay tuned for Day Two of the workshop!
