Western Balkans University hosted Dr. Thorsten Randt, orthopedic physician and surgeon and Secretary General of the German Foot and Ankle Society, for an official meeting with WBU Rector Prof. Dr. Ferdinand Gjana.
The meeting included institutional introductions and an overview of the Society’s academic and professional initiatives in Germany and other European countries.
Discussions focused on potential avenues for interinstitutional collaboration, with particular emphasis on:
• the organization of specialized trainings and professional courses,
• continuing professional development (CPD) initiatives, and
• the exchange of academic and clinical expertise in the fields of medicine and medical sciences.
The visit was considered an important step toward establishing a long-term partnership, supporting capacity-building and strengthening the international dimension of Western Balkans University.
